Flying Solo While Traveling

I came across this article today in the Associated Press about how traveling solo is great for people who can’t find a travel companion, but still want to have an adventure. Instead of staying home go out on your own and have an adventure. Whether big or small, easy or difficult, you are in control of where you go and what you want to do.

There are both good and bad aspects to being solo, but this article gives some tips and tricks to both and how to stay safe. A great tip in this article is if you can’t do a nonstop flight to instead take extended layovers in other countries and explore at no additional cost while you are making your way to your destination.

They also recommend keeping your expectations to a minimum so your not disappointed and to just go with the flow.

Exploring alone not your style? Look into getting on an escorted tour where you will be exploring with a group of people and have a set itinerary. You may feel a lot safer and its a great way to meet and get to know new people.
